Welcome to the Fight Night Pages

Bowburn.net  can reveal that Andrew Punshon will now fight against another BAMMA debutante in the form of  Matt Howard

Andrew “The Predator” Punshon comes into this match up with a professional record of 10-4-0-1nc. A professional since 2004, “The Predator” has gone about his way to cement his place as one of the best middleweight fighters this country has produced.

In his 8 year career thus far, Punshon has taken part in 15 professional mixed martial arts bouts and only one of those bouts have made it to the second round. Despite coming from a striking background, Punshon has shown himself to be a slick practitioner of the grappling aspect of MMA and is the owner of 8 submission victories. He also owns 2 knockout wins that came in brutal fashion on lightning quick time. In 2004 he secured a 5 second headkick KO of Ian Parker and, in his most recent bout, he bettered that record as he knocked out Denniston Sutherland with a brutal headkick in a mere 4 seconds.
Matt Howard comes into this fight with a perfect record of 9-0-0. Known for being a super aggressive, hard-hitting knockout artist, Howard made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2007, smashing through every man put in front of him to date. Similar to Punshon, Howard has only been out of the first round once in his career.

He now trains at the famous Rough House with the likes of Paul Daley, Andre Winner and Jim Wallhead. So far in his career he has amassed 8 (T)KO victories and 1 submission.

This middleweight contest has the makings of an absolute war and if the two men’s records are anything to go by, it doesn’t matter if it goes 15 minutes or 15 seconds, the fans in attendance will be in for a treat.

BAMMA 9 takes place 24th March at the NIA Arena in Birmingham, England.
